Greetings, all. Apologies if what I ask is available in The Fine Manual; some furious searching hasn't given me a yes or a no.
I'm working on some classical Latin, and I need to be able to type vowels with macrons. Using the Compose key, I can produce ē, ī, and ū, but the equivalent key sequence for a and o (Compose + hyphen + {a | o}) gives me a tilde instead of a macron above the vowel. Is there a way I can tell X to produce macrons instead of tildes in that case using a config file in my home directory? (For instance, is there a way to indicate such in my .xmodmap? The documentation for xmodmap has not been of any help thus far.) _________________ Nick
