I went throught the install guide and installed the entire thing while at my friends internet connection. then i had to take the box back to my schools network (they loet me borrow a box to work on). Now i cannot get net access to save my life.
i have changed the /etc/hostname stuff for our DNS
i have changed the /etc/hosts stuff just in case
i have changed the /etc/conf.d/net stuff because we use static ip addresses
i have changed the /etc/resolv.conf stuff because my gentoo mentor said it was a good idea
and still no dice. |

What is the output of ifconfig -a ?
