Hi all,

I intalled mozilla and galeon on my machine for use with gnome.Things worked fine for a while but now when I try to open mozilla the disk start trashing and never stops. Under top I see at least 5 mozilla processes launched. If I open galeon it opens but it continues to open copies until all resources are used then I need to reboot.

Any help appreciated.

I was having the same problem with galeon under Ice WM. I unmerged Ice WM and mozilla and galeon and will re emerge later. I'll let you know if that fixes it

There have been reports of this in the past (I think within the last month). Not sure if the other threads have the solution. They might be for Mozilla (I'm not sure which browser). As Galeon depends on Mozilla, I'd imagine the solutions would be similar.

you can still browse as root if you remove write permissions to the components folder after deleting the compreg.dat file.
