pheonix-cvs looking strange

i just compiled pheonix-cvs (using the ebuild of this forum)
and it looks like this

does anyone know what could cause this?

Could be a problem with the ebuild or it could just be you snagged the CVS at a bad time. ^^;; Why not try recompiling it with the ebuild in portage. (it's been added, net-www/phoenix-cvs I believe)

Baring that, I've heard of funky things like that happening to text when the DPI settings are funky.

recompiled it with the portage ebuild
it still looks the same
i also removed my .phoenix and .mozilla dir
nothing helps :/
