Bonjour,
petite question toute simple : un ami à un serveur opteron avec 1 giga de ram et quand je fais un free ca marque 950 mo.
Ca ressemble à un problème de high memory mais ca n'en est pas un je pense. Et de plus cette option n'existe pas dans le kernel amd64.
Avez vous une idée? |

je pense pas que ça soit un problème de high memory dans le kernel ... ici j'ai 768 Mo de RAM et seulement 751 affichés ...
edit : quoique, sur une autre j'ai 1 Go de RAM, et 883 affichés !  |

Peut etre que la carte graphique bouffe de la ram et que du coup l'os ne peut pas l'utiliser?
A mon avis le high memory n'existe plus sur amd64 car le bus peut adresser directement plus de ram. |

Il turisto : la différence est pas très importante pour toi, je pense que c'est normal. On a pas toujours la capacité théorique, ça tombe en dessous parfois. |

Memory: 953300k/1040064k available (2201k kernel code, 85884k reserved, 763k data, 172k init)
sur mon portable
Memory: 1034180k/1047936k available (2822k kernel code, 13176k reserved, 800k data, 208k init, 130432k highmem)
Sur mon serveur
Memory: 1034540k/1048512k available (2547k kernel code, 13360k reserved, 983k data, 208k init, 131008k highmem)
50 mo je trouve que ca fais bcp entre la théorie et la pratique quand meme ... |

Merci, je suis passé à 1009 / 1024 Mo au lieu de 883 ! Plus de 120 Mo de RAM qui réapparaissent  |

Ne pas oublier qu'il y'a entre 30 et 50 Mo qui ne seront jamais affichés par cette commande, car c'est la partie de la mémoire alouée au kernel ! (qui ne peut être retirée). _________________ Macbook

Arf, je viens de voir en effet que les menus dépendent de l'architecture 32<>64
Ce qui m'avait induit en erreur, c'est l'apparition de "Athlon64" dans la config de l'architecture i386 mais je suppose que c'est pour utiliser le mode compatible 32 bits ? |
