|
|
I spent quite a few days playing with newer versions of madwifi only to find that madwifi-ng-0.1_pre20050420 and the corresponding madwifi-tools are the only ones that want to work with my wireless card/laptop combination.
I want to re-emerge these ebuilds in order to create drivers for the 2.6.17 kernel, but I no longer have the ebuilds on my machine. Does anyone know where I can get my hands of them? |

Go to Gentoo CVS and navigate to the appropriate directory and you should find ebuild versions going back for years. Don't forget to check out the files directory for any patches needed by the old ebuilds that may no longer be in portage. |

I tried Gentoo CVS, but nothing related to madwifi goes back to last year.
It was worth a try though. Thanks anyway. |

I took a quick look at the madwifi web site, and it doesn't look like they have the older tarballs available anyway. I doubt Gentoo is keeping them on the mirrors, so unless you still have the old tarball in your distfiles, you would be out of luck downloading the source even if you had the ebuild.
Maybe another Gentooer who does have the ebuild and tarball will see this. Good luck! |
