I am trying to make one DVD from two I have already made. I have .vobs copied to hard drive. I get these errors when I try to finish the dvd. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks |

Try rebuilding imagemagick and then run revdep-rebuild to rebuild anything that depends on it. _________________

Thanks for the fast response. I tried imagemagick with revdep-rebuild. Still get the same error. I do have an error in revdep-rebuild I had forgot about.

What version of libpng are you using? Google turned up some results for this same error message.
What is your "emerge --info"? _________________

I have the same versions of libpng and imagemagick. I wonder if it is a case of amd64 versus x86 causing the problem? If you have already rebuilt libpng and then imagemagick, I don't know what else to suggest. _________________

Thanks for the help. I found my answer finally.
Code: | Apparently the "aspect" attribute or the value "2.21:1" used in the
qdvdauthor configuration file format is not supported by one of
the tools. I did not figure out how to suppress generation of
that value or to change the value. Instead, I removed the
attribute from the configuration file (look for dvdauthor.xml
in the directory you named for temporary files) and then ran
the following from the command line:
|
I entered the tmp dir and edited the dvdauthor.xml in that dir. I removed the aspect 2.21:1. Seems to be running fine now. |

You might as well post it. I won't be able to help though. I don't use either of those tools. I was just trying to trouble-shoot based on the errors you were seeing. Personally, I use tovid for video DVD creation. I had to pull the ebuild out of bugzilla though.

I know that tovid has trouble with spaces in filenames (FYI), maybe this program does too? _________________

I just started using dvdstyler (I've used the program before, but it's been a while) and I came accross the same error you had earlier:
Quote: |
Code: |
/usr/bin/spumux: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/ImageMagick-6.2.8/modules-Q16/coders/png.so: undefined symbol: png_get_asm_flags
|
|
I read through this post as well as this one., but I finally got it to work. My problem was that I had accidentily started the program as root. After switching back to my user, it worked fine.

I fixed this on my system by remerging libpng and imagemagik.
Not quite sure why revdep-rebuild doesn't catch it. |
