Hello dear gentoo fans :)

I have problem with nvidia drivers and newest version of xorg-server. I know that this is known bug and nvidia drivers doesn`t works on xorg-server. My question is the only one way for using nvidia-drviers is downgrade xorg-server to <=1.0.99 and xorg-x11? Or existing some patch for it? If I must downgrade, please, known you some HOWTO what all I must write to package.mask, etc? Please

Thank you for any response!

if you install nvidia-legacy-drivers instead of nvidia-kernel & nvidia-glx glx will work with the latest xorg-server

Downgraded to:

xorg-server-1.0.2-r7
xf86-input-mouse-1.0.4
xf86-input-keyboard-1.0.1.3
nvidia-drivers-1.0.8762-r1

switched to nvidia glx, now everything works :) btw nvidia-legacy-drivers froze my box on startx.

thanx
