My non-graphical system runs fine, i had gentoo on it a matter of days ago but a recient hard drive fire forced me to reinstall it
i can get the entire non-graphical system running but when i start x with fluxbox i proceed as normal, then after moving my mouse through some windows suddenly it freezes; i can still tab through windows but after i try to close x it locks, i cant switch virtural consoles, cant tab through windows, nothing
i'm using xorg-x11-6.8.2-r8 and i'm on an nvidia graphic's card using nvidia's module and glx extention version: 1.0.8762 |

Can you post your /etc/X11/xorg.conf, if you run
Code: | grep -E -v '^#|^$' /etc/X11/xorg.conf >xorg.conf-for-posting | you will leave out the oodles of comments some autogenerated xorg.conf's have.
Could you also post your /var/log/Xorg.0.log as well, please? _________________ The avatar is jorma, a "duck" from "Elephants Dream": the film and all the production materials have been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License, see orange.blender.org for details. |
