hi.
as mentioned above my problem is that somehow I got no connection to my Router and the Internet.
I got Gentoo running a 2.6.17-r4 Kernel. I experienced many problems till my Wlan Card inside my Laptop was running.
My Card is a Broadcom BCM4306 802.11b/g Ethernet Card.
First I tried to to emulate with ndiswrapper, but found that a lot of programs got problems with this method. I played around with bcm43xx-fwcutter, read a few Tutorials, recompiled the kernel 10-15x
...and now it seems to work. I emerged wireless-tools and if I type iwconfig my card is in the output

So I setted up my Router (with no encryption) and gave it an SSID "Fritz". Then I setted up my wlan card with a

Dmesg says that I am now authenticated and associated, but somehow I can`t get a ping to the router on some web sites. What could be the problem?
While booting up there are some strange things I can´t understand. So I am posting my dmesg report, too.

you have to set ip for your laptop by dhcp or manualy _________________ Security is like Ogres and Onions, they have layers.

hi thx for your answers...but the problem was so stupid... I linked my net.eth1 (wlan) to net.eth0 instead of net.lo
That was the cause....so threat can be closed! |
