Hey guys,

Ive come across a spot of bother. I'm have a few problems with surround sound having glitches every now and then, but more disturbing is the echo effect that comes along with it (delay/phase problem?)

Regardless of that.. im hoping by increasing the sound hardware's buffer size will fix (or at least help fight) the problem.

Anyway, I, for the life of me, cannot work out how to use the "buffer_size" feature. Here is what i have:

Code:
pcm.duplicate {
        type plug
        slave {
                pcm surround51
                channels 6
                buffer_size 4096
                }
        route_policy duplicate
}

This as it stands does not work. If i remove the buffer_size line, it functions...

Any guidance would be appreciated,
Cheers!
