Installing Gentoo on a new workstation. Havent used this particular model before HP dx2200mt, but used its cousins.

Tried noapic, nofb but always the boot up hangs the box at "io scheduler deadline registered"

the following lines are above the "io scheduler deadline registered" line:
PCI:Cannot allocate resource region 3 of device 0000:00:00.0
pnp: 00:00: ioportrange 0x140-0x15f has been reserved ((several lines of this with different ragnes))

ATI xtreme 200

it appears its having trouble with this card. Bugzilla mentions certain bugs being fixed in 2006.1. Anyone know of any hint as to when this will be coming out? or workarounds?

tried "gentoo-nofb nox" but it still hangs
