Hi all,
I want to install Gentoo on my PowerBook 12". Booting from the 1.4_rc4-CD works fine, but it didn't find the harddisk. /dev/hda is the cdrom. Booting with 'live hda=1,1,1' as suggested by the FAQ didn't help.
Has someone an idea what I have to do to make it working? _________________ Many greetings from Germany,

I planned to install Gentoo on my 600mhz 14" ibook 20gig-hd cd r/w combo.
It suprised me too that there was no /dev/hda.
I booted from a GentooPPC_1.4_rc6 cd-rom. And this way it is imposible to run mac-fdisk /dev/hda.
But as a read the FAQ something became clear. At the boot prompt type:
live hda=1,1,1
This did the trick for me |
