|
|
Hi,
Tried searching the forums about this but couldn't find what I am looking for.
DirectFB complains about the framebuffer privilages when I want to run a video application in non-root mode.
I already added the user to 'video' group but no difference.
When I look in /dev, there are several fb related devices, some sym links, fb, fb1, fb2 etc...
If someone can make a clear and detailed explanation on how can I set the permission for the relevant device, and which one of the fb devices/sym links.
Note that I am using a single-head analog vga output nvidia geforce-fx card, and in kernel I have nvidia fb built. Vesa fb is not built. No nvidia driver, neither. |

I had this problem too, try adding the user to the groups "tty" and "console". |
