Audacity fails with this output:

The 1.2.1 ebuild has been pretty severly broken by subsequent changes in wxGTK (it's also full of bugs), but for some reason the gentoo sound here decline to stablise anything newer, for no particular reason. There aren't even any open bugs on it (for x86).
Anyway, I recomend you emerge the current version of audacity, which together with wxGTK 2.4.2-r4 should work fine (for pretty much any use flags). |
i'll try that in a couple days, as i'm sticken by the same fault, and i can't recompile 1.2.1.

For me, audacity 1.2.4 works.
