Hi All,

I'm trying to track down what logrotate actually does if you specify both ifempty and notifempty.

From the manpages:
Code:

       ifempty
Rotate  the  log  file  even  if  it  is  empty,  overriding the
notifempty option (ifempty is the default).

     notifempty
Do not rotate the log if it is empty (this overrides the ifempty
              option).

So what happens. Logrotate overules the other option and keeps doing that ad infinitum??

From my experience, you get some weird results. But who would have the courage to delve into logrotate's sources and find the solution?

Greetz,
Shin.
