|
|
Hey all. I recently installed xmms on my system. at first I couldn't get any sound due to the fact that my sound card wasn't compiled in the kernel.
I have an asrock dual sata2 motherboard with an ali chipset. I'm currently running the intel8x01 (somthing liek that) alsa driver compiled directly into the kernel.
anyway I got system sounds up and running and they worked well. Then I emerged xmms and treid playing some music, and it states that xmms can't find the output device for my system because another program may be blocking it.
I double checked and made sure that system sounds were disabled and made sure I had no other programs running and it still does it.
Any Ideas??? _________________ Stratman4300

right click on xmms, go to preferences, go to output and tell us what it says. Change it either from OSS to ALSA or vice versa (you can even try eSound) and see if any work. _________________ https://otw20.com/ OTW20 The new place for off the wall chat |
