Hi!
When I start X, I'm unable to go back to the console. Depending on the screen resolution (on X) I got different behaviors.
I have the following modes configured on xorg.conf:
Code: | Modes "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" |
I have the console configured with framebuffer (vesa) and vga=791 as a kernel option.
When X is at 1152x864, switching to console causes the monitor to lose the signal (I see a monitor window with a "Hz?" flying around).
When X is at 640x480, switching turns the screen blank and the monitor's power light flashes.
At "1024x768" or "800x600", switching to console turns the screen blank (the monitor light is on and I can see some flickering on the edges of the screen).
When I'm not using framebuffer, switching to console causes the monitor to lose the signal too.
The video card is a Radeon X800 GTO, with x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.452, kernel is 2.6.23-gentoo-r6.
Thanks! |
