This is an odd problem.
I have a Linux installation I have moved from IDE to SATA. I have a CD that I use to copy data from one drive to another. The data is copied, things worked just fine.
Now, there has been a issue with the filesystem (either a minor corruption or a case of me not running /sbin/lilo) and whenever I attempt to boot from a Gentoo LiveCD or a Knoppix CD, the screen goes blank and says:
Code: | PRESS A KEY TO REBOOT |
It will boot from a Windows CD just fine, but anything having to do with Linux, I get that message.
Help?
*EDIT*
I have found out that if I remove my SATA controller, the machine will boot from a Linux CD. _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |
