[code]It was created by configure, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.60. Invocation command line was

$ ./configure --with-lang=ru --without-gpc --disable-epm --with-build-version=Build 2.0.3.0 --without-fonts

Traceback (most recent call last):

It happens with "java" and with "-java" use flags, but compilation cotinues.

well, that does not happen here.
you could check if there are java-config related updates.
or you have a masked version for testing installed...

there are neither gentoo-multilib related settings.
so a multilib toolchain is bad in that case (USE="-java").
gentoo devs may know what to do there. :)

GCJ is the best choice on AMD64 right now.
with this blackdown jdk 1.4 may do as well.

I have 3 versions of db (4.3 , 4.2 , 4.1).
4.3.29-r2 is compiled with gcj and java USE flags.
I need to compile 4.1 and 4.2 with java USE flag?

The db.sleepycat.com error is known. It's a bug in the ebuild that cropped up after the db ebuild changed the file locations. the 4.3.29 version has the files in the old location.

There's now a portage openoffice ebuild (2.0.4-rc1) is that based on your work or is that just an update of the old one?

I'm wondering as it is marked ~amd64.

I thought not, that one complains I don't have mozilla and then tells me to download the mozilla libs for it. Lazy ebuild.

Yours builds, once I fix the db.jar location. That one doesn't build.

I prefer yours though.

If portage has one that builds, are you continuing yours?

After all the fun of getting yours perfected, I'd hate to see you stop.

if they are near to equal I stop. main issue:
- system dependencies, like: db, java, sound, others...

it is just stupid to have internal copies. :o
