|
|
Hi,
is it possible to change the size of the root partition, when server is installed?
I've done a mistake when I formated the disk and noticed it just after installation.
I'll very thankful if someone can help me with that.
Regards,

Have a look at GNU parted.
Code: | * sys-apps/parted
Available versions: 1.6.23 1.6.25 ~1.7.1-r1
Installed: none
Homepage: http://www.gnu.org/software/parted
Description: Create, destroy, resize, check, copy partitions and file systems
|
I used it twice and it worked very well _________________ -- http://www.linuxaddicted.de/ | Please help to answer open questions |

It's not possible to resize the root partition while it is mounted.
Unmounting doesn't work cuz of the system is running.
I tried to run qtparted from a knoppix cd but there i get a error, in german: 'Gleitkomma ausnahme'
and parted can't resize ext3 partition.
Is there any other methode? |
