A motherboard died on me, and I swapped a HD into a new box with identical hardware. Or so I think... I updated my dhcp server to provide a static ip address to the new MAC address of the box.
Everything seems to work right, but now when I boot, eth0 does not come up cleanly.
When I manually run `/etc/init.d/net.eth0 start` I get this odd message:
dhcp: Host name lookup failure
If I type "dhcpcd", then eth0 comes up fine.
Any ideas on how to get this machine to boot properly again? THANKS! |
