I have a machine with "only" :-D 1gb of ram.
I try to install a program that check during the installation process if there are at least 2gb of ram on the machine.
Is there a way to simulate 1gb of ram?

What program is that? That seems pretty crazy.

Do you have a swap partition? That kind of "simulates" having more RAM, since it'll write to the swap if it runs out of physical memory.

The program is Oracle Collaboration Suite (Infrastructure and application on the same host).
There are two checks:
- One for the swap size
- One for the physical memory size
