|
|
Whenever I do something such as an emerge -p world there is generally great pages of packages to be updated. Normally I would just 'shift+page Up' but this has its limits and now I can't see the top anymore. Is there anyway to increase this 'shift+pageup' buffer?
Also when I switch to another tty I lose the ability to 'shift and page up' - is there any way to fix this as well ?
cheers

I know in the gnome xterm there is an option under edit->Current Profile->Scrolling for the number of lines you can scroll back. I don't know about any other. _________________ System Specs:

You can use 'screen' (emerge screen) to this end. It also allows you to detach and reattach the session as well as have multiple windows within a terminal. Definitely worth checking out. I think there's a Gentoo wiki guide about it. |
