JVM and wine

Is there a way to install a JVM in wine(or some how use my linux JVM)? I tried installing JVM and it didn't work. The install procedure correctly warned me that this was a bad idea(it wasn't Win 98 or higher). I changed version in the config file to Win98 and it didn't warn me, just didn't work. I'm trying to do this because I'm trying to get back in to TradeWars which I haven't played in a few years, and my old helper(SWATH) STILL doesn't have a linux port(although there has been a blurb on the website for years about it). SWATH installed and runs in wine just fine, but it needs java for its full functionality.
