it worked fine before, now I can't do a simple rewrite

I have rewrite log level at 9 and not seeing any errors, just passthroughs, it appears something is amiss...

aiyyeee.....nevermind, i had to change AllowOverride "None" to "All" (as I'm done writing, I mind as well post it for others).

damn...must've missed that in the etc-update diffs...by the way is there a graphical way I can do these merges on config files when using portage?
