>SOLVED< simple graphical buttons to support mpd through mpc

[vermaden]

for long time i was using beep media player, and i had small skin for the main window of bmp to fast change tracks or change volume with scroll like here (http://toya.net.pl/~vermaden/gfx/vermaden-desktop-15.07.2006.png), now i use mpd + ncmpc and i little miss these controls on the bottom left.

my question is: is there any app/taskbar that will fit there and has similar posibilities but will change track with mpc or directly to mpd?

I wouldn't know any script/program that does it, but there are a few clients available, qmpdclient, pympd, gtk2mp, wmmp, kmp.

well i actually use mpc + ncmpc, but need also this little "widget" for comfort of usage, i do not need a graphical client like gmpc to change songs, also i do not like wm dockapps, they do not look good, but thx for help

hi,
mabe you could simply use idesk and create some icons on your background for the needed features. Or, code some buttons in gtk...it's pretty simple, much like C. Personally, i use the buttons of my multimedia-keyboard with some xosd-scripts i wrote.

I use qmpdclient if I really want to look for a song and keyboard shortcuts for the rest, more then enough for me
