I have activated the vesa framebuffer in my kernel, but my screen seems to have moved left a bit (around 4 characters). How do I change it?
I am trying the radeon framebuffer (I have a Radeon 8500), but that doesn't work out.
When I try to specify vga as a boot option, I get a black screen
Which boot parameters should I specifiy, would that be the problem? |

I'd advise using the Framebuffer Tutorial which is here.

It just got made today, and it worked, and I now have a framebuffer running on my Radeon9700 Pro (using VESA). |

Tried that one too, but it doesn't work out. I have worked without framebuffer for a long time, and then everything worked fine. Now I wanted the framebuffer logos, and higher resolutions in my terminals, but it doesn't work out a I hoped... |
