My THRM/temperature all of a sudden started reporting 0 C as the temperature value. I did not do anything with the hardware or the kernel- it just shows 0 C now in THRM/temperature. In the BIOS setup, the hardware sensors are working properly and read out values. (Lm_sensors causes some of my fans to act goofy and shut off randomly, so I do not use lm_sensors.) During bootup, the system is able to read the temperature as I can see in dmesg:
Code: | ACPI: Thermal Zone [THRM] (36 C)

So what would the problem be here? I did restart acpid after I got to the desktop and gkrellm/cat of THRM/temperature shows 0 C to no effect. Any suggestions? _________________ Unix is user friendly- it is just picky who its friends are. |
