Hi All,
I am using Vanilla sources kernel 2.6.17-rc4 on Gentoo, after upgrading from 2.6.12-r9. It seems to run fine, but when I made a change to the kernel config (using "genkernel --menuconfig all") I see the following output when recompiling:
Code: |
~ # genkernel --menuconfig all; lilo

It appears that I am trying to use an option that is no longer supported in this kernel, but not really sure the best way of getting rid of this message.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance |

Does menuconfig appear before it starts compiling the new kernel?
Seems to me, as if the new kernel is compiled with the old configuration (.config). _________________ silence kills the revolution |

yep menuconfig appears, and i make the changes that i wish too (adding support for ipaq pda via serial).
I think i am using the old kernel config. normally in an upgrade i just copy old to new. is this not right? |
