Hi everybody, I performed a "emerge -u world" and then ran the typical "etc-update" a while back. Now whenever I boot or shutdown gentoo, I get the following message popping up every half-second, flooding the screen

Code:
/etc/conf.d/rc: line 225: svcdir: readonly variable

It would also appear that after the "emerge -u world", my wifi card (ndiswrapped) refuses to work, making my machine pretty much useless.
Thanks in advance for any help.
