Posted: Mon Aug 28, 2006 8:00 am Post subject: Another Qmail relay problem... sorry |
|
|
I have followed the manuals as best I could but I just can't get relaying to work on my LAN.
When the client want's to send a mail I get:
Code: |
$ mailx -s "test" jdoe@mydomain.com < /dev/null
Null message body; hope that's ok
SSL_connect: Success
send-mail: Cannot open mail.mydomain.com:25
Can't send mail: sendmail process failed with error code 1
|
The server reports the following:
@4000000044f2a142384d98dc tcpserver: status: 1/40
@4000000044f2a142384ddb44 tcpserver: pid 30279 from 192.168.10.10
@4000000044f2a142384df2b4 tcpserver: ok 30279 ns2.mydomain.com:192.168.10.2:25 pluto.mydomain.com:192.168.10.10::38432
@4000000044f2a1423876a4ac tcpserver: end 30279 status 256
@4000000044f2a1423876d38c tcpserver: status: 0/40
-------
What I have:
[ebuild R ] mail-mta/qmail-1.03-r16 USE="gencertdaily* logmail* ssl -mailwrapper -noauthcram -notlsbeforeauth" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] net-mail/vpopmail-5.4.16 USE="mysql -clearpasswd -ipalias" 0 kB
[ebuild U ] net-mail/courier-imap-4.0.4 [4.0.1] USE="berkdb nls -debug -fam -gdbm* -ipv6" 0 kB
I have the following in my /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.qmail-smtp
127.0.0.1:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD=""
192.168.10.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD=""
:allow,QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue"
... where 192.168.10.x is my LAN.[/url]
... and yes, I did run # tcprules tcp.qmail-smtp.cdb tcp.qmail-smtp.tmp < tcp.qmail-smtp
This is what I have on the client wanting to send a mail:
Code: |
cat /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf | grep -v ^# | grep ..
root=postmaster
mailhub=mail.mydomain.com
rewriteDomain=mail.mydomain.com:25
UseTLS=YES
|
------
If anyone can see a mistake in my setup I'd apreciate a pointer to some documentation... and an explenation of course
Thank you all
