How do I fill custom pattern?

How would I do that in Gimp?

Hi,

You just need to save an image with the extension .pat and put this file in ~/.gimp-2.2/patterns folder (replace .gimp-2.2 with whatever version you are using). The .pat extension is available from the list of files types to save as. You get an option to name the pattern when you save it.
