hi,
how can i make gentoo run some htparm command after
booting automatically. i need to run
hdparm -c1 -d1 /dev/hda
hdparm -c1 -d1 /dev/dvd

just edit /etc/conf.d/hdparm

Edit /etc/conf.d/hdparm AND do a
Code: | rc-update add hdparm boot |
to run /etc/init.d/hdparm automatically at boot time. |

you can also add hdparm to /etc/conf.d/local.start. i think this is the place where you normally add things like this. but doesnt matter i think |
