i got some problems that I´m not able to fix...
My Orinoco PCMCIA card is detected by the system:
Code:
02:01.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4401 100Base-T (rev 01)
02:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
02:04.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1510 PC card Cardbus Controller
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev 01)

then I emerged madwifi-ng and madwifi-nd-tools. Now I was able to see the device as ath0 per iwconfig.
But if I try to set the key with a iwconfig ath0 key foobar I get the following message:
Code:
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
SET failed on device ath0 ; Invalid argument.

Next I did that Madwifi patch thing...and it seems Monitor mode is working now. At least in Kismet it does...
but there I got the problem that a iwlist ath0 scan ends (after a period of approximately 15 seconds) with a:
Code:
ath0      Failed to read scan data : Resource temporarily unavailable

A google search told me to bring the wireless tools to a newer version, that I already have installed.

Can someone help with those problems?
Can it be a problem when I installed the madwifi drivers via emerge and have them in the kernel?
