|
|
Hi! I decided to follow the fonts and xorg wiki guide, and installed all those packages. Surprisingly, the terminus font is not avaliable to choose from the kde control center, neither from the konsole font configuration. I like this font very much, and there aren't much beautiful fonts to install on konsole, so what happened? Anybody else without terminus even installing it?.
The font was installed in the path /usr/share/fonts/terminus, and contains all these files:

A. See fonts-conf(5). |
From the terminus homepage, is that useful? |

I really don't know what is See fonts-conf(5) refering to. My system font configuration? I'll check it then.
Edit
Well, I think I'll give up for now, I've surfed the net from A to Z and found no solution.

Terminus is a bitmap font. KDE and Gnome use truetype fonts. _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

Well I know I was able to select it when I had it installed before I updated gentoo to 2006.1. That's all I know.
I've checked that man page but still very confused.
Thank you very much for your help. |

Actually, I do have terminus as an available option in the Konsole font dialog, I just checked. So I don't know why you don't have it... _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

Well, it was a problem with a config file in my /home, I deleted some, but can't assure which one was the responsible, I guess it could be fonts.cache1 or fonts.conf, or both. Or maybe the .fonts directory. I don't know for sure, all I know is I've got terminus on konsole again.
Many thanks for you help men, greets!. |
