how do you mount it as user-readable?
i have to have a usb disk drive with ntfs as it's file system because it's the only way my windows computer will transfer 4gb+ files onto it.
i record shows with my pvr card on the highest setting and they can go over 4gb easily. |

I think you're looking for the uid= and/or gid= options in mount. Also, you'll have to set umask appropriately (note that 777 disables all permissions, as it is a mask). Man mount should explain these options enough to get things working. |
