|
|
Hi,
I'm installing Gentoo on the laptop of a friend of mine, and there's such wifi problem (one more !).
lspci gives us this:
Code: |
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. Unknown device 001c (rev 01)
|
With google searchs, we found the wifi chipset is an Atheros AR5006EG. There's no informations on support of this chipset by madwifi-ng driver (seems it's to recent).
We also tried the SVN version of madwifi-ng, and nothing more, the HAL (a fuckin' binary blob) doesn't recognize the chipset.
What do you think we should do ? (buy a ralink pccard is *not* the nicest solution :/)
Thank's |

You should try ndiswrapper with some available Windows drivers.
Works great for me _________________ silence kills the revolution |
