Hi

Is it possible to change CHOST setting ? I have i386 CHOST but It requires i486 for NPTL (glibc-2.4). What steps should I do ? I am using a P4


Any help please ?

Hi,

First make a backup of all your important files ;-)

Please search for CHOST on the forum, there's a lot of issues regarding this case at the moment.

Otherwise you could go here
Then I think you will have to 'emerge -e system' then 'emerge -e world'.
