how to get sound to an other computer?

Hi there ,

I'm having a little probs over here , I've finished my freevobox and now I'm having 5.1 sound on it.
I'm also using a desktop and a laptop wich I use a lot for playing youtube and things like that.
Now I only have one set of speakers and I would like to use them with the other machines as well.
The thing is, looking at videos with a sounddelay is pretty frustrating, so since theres an 100Mbit internal network connected to them is there a way to send the whole stream raw ? Has anyone did this ?

I myself have never tried it, but perhaps you might want to look into NAS. It is a USE flag too.

I still have some questions about it , I emerged it and it seems that I only can play a file with one specific player (auplay) , can you confirm that ?
also I didn't found a howto, the documentation is pretty poor , do you know where I can find better docs ?

Esound can be configured to play sound accross a network.
