Hi,
after having installed vmware-player, I tried to use it using a Fedora Core Virtual Machine.
It kind of blocked my whole computer and I had not other choice then to reboot.
The reboot failed because I got all errors similar to:

I shutted down my computer manually by hitting the reset button and on boot I got 2 strange things:
First of all:

which I didn't have earlier but I did have it in my Fedora virtual machine
and an erro which fails to load my interent:

/etc/init.d/net.lo: line 34: /lib/rcscripts/net.modules.d/helpers.d/functions: No such file or directory
no interface module has been loaded

is it possible that the 'functions' file in /lib/rcscripts/net.modules.d/helpers.d was deleted by the Virtual Machine?
and many errors afterwards following out of this: apache, mysql -> can't be loaded because eth0 doesn't exist
when I do:
I have my internet back but I don't know how I can get apache, mysql... back working
I also can't do startx anymore
all my other kernel configuartions don't work either, opensuse does
I'm seriously in trouble, any help appreciated to get my old system back
