|
|
I have a X1600 pci-express on my laptop, and i have huge problems installing the ati-drivers.
whenever i try to, i get errors in /var/tmp/portage/ati-drivers....../lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/agpgart_be and similar things
i don't know why it's trying to install it on AGP?
is tehre anything i could do here?
i tried enabling/disabling/modulating the agp support and drm module in the kernel, but the problem doesn't go away.
edit: how come when i booted the livecd everything was perfect in detection, but with my own kernel and coldplug, nothing's as fancy and good ![Sad :(](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif)

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Kernel & Hardware.
Kernel related, so moved here. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered
