virtual console colors

Hey, anyone know if there's a way to have vt's colored somehow?

For exmaple im using syslog to send all messages to /dev/tty8 and I was wondering if there's a way to change the color of the text or the background on tty8

I'm not sure if this is what you want or not, but maybe a console framebuffer is what you need.

Take a look at The Gentoo bootsplash and Framebuffer howto.

You can set up a background image, text color and more for each virtual console.
