with debian and gentoo .. i have all the time the same shit problems wen i use a usb2repeater cable
with windows xp i do not have any problems with usb2 and usb2repeater cables
usbport -> 5 meter usb2r epeater cable -> usb2hub
on the hub is my keyboard, mouse, an dvd drive
i see in the syslog all the time
Code: |
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: input irq status -71 received
|
and my mouse works slower, and the keyboard works not corectly
if i use a usb2 repeater cable for the mouse
and if i use a usb2 repeater cable for the keyboard
both works good
but i dont can use for each usb device a new usb2repeater cable, my pc does only have 2 usb2 ports
with windows there was no problems with usb .. i think not that is a hardware problem, and i am thinking not that any cable is to long
with windows xp all works good .. but with linux not
what can i do?
does anyone have experiences with a usb2 to cat extender? this hardware is very expensive, a few hundert dollars .. |
