If you use the Dvorak keyboard mapping, have caps lock on, and hold shift while you press any non-letter key (1234567890[]',./=-), you get that character rather than the shifted key (e.g. if caps lock is on, you can't type !@#$%^&*(){}?+"<> - you can however still type |)... The Dvorak keyboard map for the TTY terminals works fine, however (where caps lock effectively inverts the state of the shift key when pressing letter keys, while punctuation keys are indifferent of caps lock, only depending upon the shift key).
I know most people use Qwerty layouts rather than Dvorak, but could someone look into this? |
