I emerged xfce, how do I switch? I knew how in KateosOS, but that ain't worth nuttin here....
I am a 2006.1 > non network > glid from terminal install > it turned out O.K. otherwise

okey what do you want to do exactly?
i guess you want to start xfce automatically after you login using your login-manager (kdm,gdm,slim...), am i correct?
if that's the case i guess it should be enough to alter the XSESSION-entry in your /etc/rc.conf to
That's similar to what i do with my fluxbox-wm... |

If you use an xdm (x desktop manager like kdm or gdm) you can select the display manager from the menu of the display manager. It is added from the emerge to the window manager list.
If you start X from the console with startx you have to add startxfce4 in the .xinitrc file in your home directory. |
