I have recently upgraded X.org from 6.8 to 7.0 and I have got problems with xmms. It looks really strangely.
See screenshot.
I have not notice anything similar in other applications.

Not really solution to your problem, but I would recommend using software that is not prehistoric and is actually maintained
Maybe something like audacious (it's in portage tree). |

It works somehow now. I don't know why.
Thank you for your suggestions. The Audacious works fine except one thing: it has a problem with ID3tags created by Amarok (in UTF-. It complains often about invalid UTF-8 string and does not play the song. However, it seems it plays streams very well.
(I don't want to use Amarok for listening audio streams because it looks to be too complex for this purpose. )
I tried to find a classical XMMS skin but i did not succeed. Does anybody know where I can take it from? |
