how do I get aide to ignore /var/tmp/ccache [solved]

I decided to turn aides verbosity on because I wondered what was taking so long. it's indexing ccache. I think ccache may change enough to where I don't want that... along with some other directories can I tell aide to index /var exept /var/tmp/ccache? without listing everything in var except that.

Just a guess after reading http://pwet.fr/man/linux/formats/aide_conf: try adding the line "!/var/tmp/ccache" to your aide.conf.
