computer wont boot at all !

Yesterday I finished installing gentoo and XFree and last night i started #emerge kde before i went to sleep. Now my laptop computer wont boot at all, not even into bios. I just turn it on and it turns it self off 3 sec later.

Is someone familiar with this problem ?

sounds hardware related.

Laptops have a nasty habit of critically overheating when left on for long periods of time.

A friend of mine just had a problem like this, he fried his chip, since we switch out his chip for my chip and the computer is working so. I suggest that you switch out know good parts for your parts.
