|
|
I just installed compiz and it works great, thanks for nice gentoo howtos!
However, I just figured out that my kde setting for ALT-F4 closing the window is gone.. Is it because I am no longer using kwin when I am using compiz? How do tell compiz to close the window on Alt-F4?
I am using kde/autostart to start compiz as follows:
# Start window decorator
gnome-window-decorator --replace &
# Start compiz
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 compiz --replace --indirect-rendering --strict-binding gconf m
ove resize minimize place decoration wobbly cube rotate scale switcher zoom fade scree
nshot dbus &
Thanks for your help! |

@zm_zyl, it appears that you hit the "Report" button instead of the "Reply" button and ended up on the Report violations, duplicates, misplaced posts, etc. thread instead of here. (Either that or else you're a spam bot; I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt for now.) I've put your reply back where it belongs.

Start Compiz Setting Manager (ccsm) after you start Kde and Compiz is active, go to the Generals options/Shortcuts (or whatever it is in english) and change the Control+q keybinding for Alt+F4 to close a window. _________________ Paul |
